Flights: £30, cargo due to not being able to take sharps on board: £50, tram ticket: £12 and ended up on the coast near Gothenburg. I’d like to say that it was all worth it, well it was in a way it’s not everyday you wake up in your own bed in Suffolk and set your rod up on a foggy Swedish coast watching ice float passed in the sea. Even though I blanked it was still a great day. I had took two rods with me packed up in my bag, the compact s-mid combo for bait fishing and distance and the x-max cp for lure fishing. It was good as a little recce for future trips. It started raining hard so packed up and sat on a ferry (included in the tram pass) and visited all the small islands. It’s amazing how these people live here. They where wheeling there goods from the mainland on and then each island had barrows by the port for them to pick them home. This area will be amazing in the summer. #extremedaytrips #gothenburg #fishing

Some of you will have noticed something new brewin

Some of you will have noticed something new brewing in the background.

I’m working alongside Luke at @thecyderfarm to create something a bit different here in the Suffolk countryside. A proper lakeside retreat built around heat, cold water and slowing down.

Those who know me know I massively believe in regular sauna use for both physical and mental health. It’s something I’ve wanted to bring to life as a business for a long time.

Now that more people in the UK are starting to understand the real benefits of sauna culture, it feels like the right time to offer it properly.

We’re converting a vintage Rice horsebox into a Nordic-inspired wood-fired sauna. Her name’s Betty.

We’re aiming to open on 25th April.

I’ll be visiting an area I know fairly well for a 3 day circular Packrafting and hiking trip. That’s always the starting point.

But anyone who runs a dog in the countryside knows how it goes…
pheasants explode out of hedges, rabbits bolt, the wind carries scents you’ll never understand.
And sometimes, instinct wins.

If you’ve got a dog like mine, they’ll disappear chasing a rabbit and come back later like nothing happened.

Looking back at an amazing trip through the Arctic

Looking back at an amazing trip through the Arctic tundra with a group from work. So happy that this trip marked those who walked it for the rest of there life. Many say that they just go back to that trip in there mind for the wilderness, the feeling of no worries whilst standing there looking at the mountains and the clean air. It is amazing what the wilderness does for you soul. This was a 110km hike along the route of the @fjallravenofficial Classic Sweden. I first done the Fjallraven Classic in 2017 and have been back 3 times since. The Fjällräven Classic is a series of multi-day trekking events held on some of the world’s most iconic long-distance trails. They’re organised by Fjällräven, but they’re not races and they’re not guided tours. The idea is simple: give people the chance to experience a proper long hike, carry everything themselves, camp along the way, and do it in a way that respects nature. #sweden #hiking #nikkaluokta #abisko

I think one of my favourite things about heading out to @glaskogen is the ribs I’ve found at the supermarket on the way from Oslo. These ribs are amazing and a perfect feast once you get to your first Dano hut and get setup.
