First thing to mention when hiking long distances I like a base layer that is tight firstly to stop any chaffing especially if you’re carrying a heavy load for a distance.

Real Turmat Dehydrated soups.

I have been using these Real Turmat dehydrated soups for a couple of years now and have really utilised the benefits of these as a midday meal.

The soups available are all using meat as an ingredient so for the meat eater I cannot recommend a more valuable meal for midday when you are using a high amount of energy.

Recently I received deliver of the Armaskin Always dry base layer T-shirt. It always good news when a parcel arrives from down under and this wasn’t anything different.

Armaskin have recently released a few more products to help all of us enjoy the outdoors whether its running or hiking. Personally the only time I run is if the pub is shutting or if there a Tsunami behind me but each to there own. Anyway I digress.

A short hiking Trip to Tyresta.

Finally i’ve gotten around to booking myself a short hiking trip to Tyresta.

It will be a short hiking trip to Tyresta National Park which is just south of Stockholm. It will be solo which I haven’t done for a while.

The Tyresta National Park and Nature Reserve extends over almost 5,000 hectares.

It has been protected to preserve and safeguard its importance .

You can find primeval forest here with pine trees that are 400 years old, clear forest lakes and a large number of unusual plants and animals.
