Anfibio NANO RTC Packraft: A ultralight packraft. The Anfibio Nano RTC Packraft is a testament to the innovative engineering and design prowess of Anfibio Packrafting.
Estimated reading time: 6 minutes
The Nano RTC has been designed to cater to outdoor enthusiasts seeking a lightweight, portable, and high-performing packraft.
The Nano RTC is making waves in the world of waterborne adventure. In this review, we’ll delve into the key aspects of this packraft, exploring its design, features, and overall suitability for various water activities.
Design and Materials:
The Anfibio Nano RTC boasts a sleek and compact design that immediately captures attention. Constructed with high-quality materials, including a robust drop-stitch floor, the packraft strikes a harmonious balance between durability and weight.
RTC stands for: Roll Top Closure . One end of the packraft (as the Nano can be paddled either way) is a roll top closure (similar to a drybag) that makes it possible to transport luggage inside the boat and also adjust the bouyancy of the packraft.
By only rolling the RTC to it’s minimum of four rolls you make the area bigger, giving more buoyancy. By rolling it up full, you give it less.

The RTC has been specially designed to ensure that the roll closure is reliably sealed meaning you wont loose any pressure like some drybag seals.
The whole inside of the Packraft can be used as storage space. Using the luggage compartment not only provides increased load capacity but also a lower centre of gravity and allows luggage to be transported protected from the wet.
Packability and Weight:
One of the standout features of the Nano RTC is its impressive packability. Weighing just over 1kg the Nano RTC is a real ultra lightweight packraft with the ability to pack down to the size of a small backpack.
Setup and Inflation:
Setting up the Nano RTC is very simple, it comes with a standard Anfibio inflation bag. To inflate the Nano RTC, insert all of ytour gear you wish to carry inside of the raft, close the roll top closure, a minimum of four turns is required to get an airtight seal.

You can roll the closure more if you require but the less you roll it the more fill area you have giving you more buoyancy, for my weight I found it better to roll to the minimum giving more boutancy and having the RTC at the back.
Next, attach the inflation bag and fill as you would with any normal packraft.
Remember to temper you packraft and always remember this packraft is black so will be effected by the sun more.
On-Water Performance of the Anfibio Nano RTC Ultralight Packraft.
The Nano RTC shines when it comes to on-water performance. Initially I thought this packraft would be perfect for a short river crossing or a paddle out to an island for an overnight camp, but after paddling it a few times it is much more versatile than this.

Designed for calm lakes, slow-moving rivers, and even moderate rapids.
Comfortness
The Nano RTC is small, but saying that being 1.83cm tall I still found it big enough to sit and paddle for 2 hours. There’s plenty of space, just remember that the maximum weight capacity is 135kg. Seating, the Nano RTC doesnt come with a seat as this is an optional extra.
The seat that I would recommend is the Anfibio Pack Seat. It’s lightweight and has a backrest, the back rest is a must if you will be paddling for a long duration of time

Anfibio Packrafting’s commitment to quality, combined with the Nano RTC’s innovative design, positions it as a top contender in the packraft market. Whether you’re a seasoned packrafter or a newcomer to waterborne adventures, the Anfibio Nano RTC Packraft offers a compelling combination of performance and convenience for your next aquatic expedition.
If you are looking for something more minimalistic than have a look at the Nano SL.
Weighing 830g it is the lighweight of the ultralight weight class but personally for the sake of 200g I would recommend the RTC as it give you loads more options like storing gear and adjusting the buoyancy.
One item, (if your looking for packable and lightweight gear) i’d recommend is the Anfibio Buoy Boy flotation jacket. It is perfect to fit into your bag if your looking for space saving and a lightweight flotation jacket. Please remember this is a flotation jacket NOT a P.F.D.
